In Years 9 and 10, students explore and develop their talents by choosing electives from a diverse range of subjects together with a core curriculum. During Year 9 students complete a semester-long subject titled ''Trek''. Symbolic of the learning challenge ahead of them, students embark on an enquiry-based journey (Know, Think, Create and Connect) as they are challenged to work towards a personal goal of their choosing. Students complete hands-on activities in small groups, learning to use new and old technologies such as 3D printers and laser cutters as well as common hand tools. They learn design principles and apply their knowledge to interesting tasks.
