Skilful social researchers are in high demand around the world as we seek to understand why people think and act the way they do, and how to improve peoples' lives. Applications include identifying and understanding peoples' attitudes and behaviours in relation to: inequality, education, consumption, immigration, social media, crime, environmental protection, healthy behaviours, the impact of a new industry, the effectiveness of a new policy or program, and more. A social research degree is the perfect capstone to any undergraduate degree or the ideal complement for professionals working across fields that use information about people. This course delivers highly transferable social research skills using a hands-on approach, giving you the skills to understand, and generate solutions to, pressing social questions. It also provides skills needed to prepare and present research findings in ways that have an impact. You'll gain an understanding of a range of qualitative and quantitative research methods, research ethics, budgeting and evaluation, as well as the skills to conduct and present research.
