Indiana Law’s SJD is for international law graduates who already hold an LLM degree and have demonstrated exceptional academic legal writing, analysis, and research abilities. SJD students typically aspire to careers in teaching law. As one of the nation’s first law schools, the Maurer School of Law has been educating leaders of the bar, bench, government and private sector all over the country and around the world for more than 175 years. Our JD program has few peers in terms of curricular depth and breadth, and is taught by some of the most influential legal minds and successful practitioners in the country.
