To be eligible to matriculate, an applicant must have earned a baccalaureate degree from a college or university accredited by a regional accrediting association of the United States. If an applicant has completed post-secondary work outside the U.S., the applicant must use the Credential Assembly Service for evaluation of the international transcripts.TOEFL: 88 points, minimum of 20 points in each section. IELTS: 6.5 total band score.A minimum 3.00 GPA on a 4.00 scale in baccalaureate study. For students who wish to develop some expertise in a particular substantive area, but who also seek flexibility in terms of taking electives in a broad range of other areas, we offer specialized concentration programs. The concentration programs offer flexibility in students' choices of electives. There is no thesis requirement in any of the concentration programs.Scalia law students also enjoy a unique opportunity to specialize and focus their legal studies in a particular area of law through our specialty track programs. Our specialty tracks offer students the kind of sophisticated understanding of particular practice areas usually gained only after years of practice or through advanced legal study.In addition, Scalia Law School's curriculum offers twenty courses in intellectual property law and over two dozen courses in the area of law & economics.Students will understand basic principles of Civil Procedure, Contracts, Criminal Law, Constitutional Law, Economics for Lawyers, Professional Responsibility, Property, Torts, and many elective subjects.Students will demonstrate an understanding of legal research, legal analysis, oral advocacy, negotiation, and problem solving.Students will analyze the Rules of Professional Responsibility and the ways to practice law ethically.Students who wish to gain a solid foundation in regulatory law because they are considering practice in and before government agencies may wish to pursue the Regulatory Law Concentration.
