All applicants must disclose any prior attendance at a university or other postsecondary institution in Canada or abroad regardless of whether they are seeking transfer credit Failure to disclose this information may result in a rejection of the student's application or subsequent suspension from UNB.
Newly admitted students who have completed IB courses in high school may be eligible for advanced standing transfer credit toward their studies at UNB To apply for transfer credit please ensure your official results are sent directly from the International Baccalaureate Organization to UNB Only courses that are completed at the Higher-Level HL are eligible for transfer credit.

Undergraduate applicants whose native language is not English require the following English language proficiency minimum scores for direct entry into most academic programs.
TOEFL IBT with a minimum overall score of 85.

CAEL CE or CAEL Online with a minimum overall score of 60.
Pearson PTE with a minimum score of 59.
Cambridge English Assessment B2 First C1 advanced or C2 proficiency with a minimum score of 176.

With a large number of technical electives in the final year of the program, our students can specialize in a particular discipline within civil engineering or cover a broad range of topics for a more general degree. We also offer a co-op option so you can gain valuable work experience as you complete your degree.<br><br>Build structures that will stand the test of time by understanding the properties and behaviours of construction materials from supports to insulation. Design and use materials that are environment-friendly and climate-adapted.
