Materials scientists and engineers solve some of today's most complicated industry problems. This program equips you to address these challenges with scientific contributions in electronic and magnetic materials, ceramics and polymers, aerospace and nuclear applications. The program offers a mix of theoretical study and practical experiments in areas such as nanotechnology, microelectronics, alternative energy applications, and advanced materials processing. You will contribute to research to solve practical industry problems in current and future technologies and explore cutting-edge implementations of nanomaterials, composites, biomaterials and other hybrid systems. Faculty offer diverse areas of expertise in electrochemical systems and corrosion, batteries, fuel cells, solar materials, semiconductors and microelectronics, nuclear materials and engineering, polymeric materials design and formulation, biomaterials, nanoscience and nanotechnology.
