For candidates holding the BSIE (or BSISE), or similar degree, with a GPA of 3.0 or higher from an ABET-accredited program, the MSIE can be earned by successfully completing 30 credit hours of course and project work consisting of 21 credits of core courses and 9 credits of elective courses.
Online application
Transcripts (in English) from all colleges or universities attended. Transcripts must be submitted in sealed envelopes and mailed directly to the admissions office. If official documents are unavailable, unofficial documents can be uploaded through the online application system for initial review only. However, all official documents must be received before the start of classes for the admitted semester.

As the only master's program in industrial engineering available at an accredited institution in the state of Connecticut, this unique experience at the University of New Haven prepares students for future advancement in systems optimization, quality assurance, manufacturing, engineering management, procurement, the efficient use of both human and technological resources, as well for management positions in operations, supply chain, and technology. To hold an undergraduate degree in engineering, science, or a related field with a strong quantitative background, in addition to a competency in mathematics through calculus.<br><br>The Industrial Engineering discipline in its modern form contributes to the design, building, operation, management, and optimization of complex systems in all sectors of modern life, including manufacturing, government, education, aerospace, transportation, logistics, and service industries. The MSIE program provides graduate education and training for industrial engineers with a Bachelor's degree, and for engineers and scientists in other disciplines who seek advanced course work in systems engineering and optimization, quality assurance, lean six sigma, manufacturing, operational analytics, engineering management, procurement, and the efficient use of both human and technological resources.
