课程简介
The Department of Nuclear Engineering offers three graduate degree programs: the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), the Master of Engineering (MEng), and the Public Policy (MPP)/Nuclear Engineering (MS) Concurrent Degree Program.Nuclear Engineering is the study of the science behind nuclear processes and the application of nuclear processes to the development of various technologies. Nuclear engineers design and develop systems used to solve real-world problems such as cancer treatment, fusion power plant design, and radioactive waste disposal.

Nuclear Engineers at Berkeley have the opportunity to work in cutting-edge research laboratories or at the nearby Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory to gain unparalleled access and experience. With a low student-to-faculty ratio, students receive personal attention and mentoring. The Department of Nuclear Engineering includes distinguished faculty members who have made groundbreaking advances in the sustainable and economic production of nuclear energy. Faculty members have also served as advisors to the United States, Japan, and Korea on nuclear issues and nuclear energy.

Potential Careers:

Academia
Consulting
Government Work
Nuclear Engineering
Research
