国际学生入学条件
Our Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program is open to all applicants who have completed a bachelor's degree or will have completed one before matriculating as a graduate student at Stanford.
A degree in civil or environmental engineering is not required to pursue a PhD, but applicants should be familiar with key concepts and their applications. This typically means applicants have degrees in other science and engineering disciplines. We are looking for students who have completed coursework or have other experiences that demonstrate use of higher-level mathematics (e.g., linear algebra, partial differential equations, statistics) and recommend the completion of core civil engineering courses (e.g., solid mechanics, structural analysis, structural dynamics, fluid mechanics, project management). An MS degree is not a prerequisite for admission to our PhD program or for PhD degree conferral.
Applications are submitted electronically through the Graduate Admissions office and are forwarded directly to the Civil and Environmental Engineering department for review. All materials, such as transcripts, statement of purpose, supplemental questions, and resume are to be uploaded with your application. Letters of recommendation are to be submitted via email in the on-line application.
Statement of Purpose (must be submitted on-line through Graduate Admissions)
Supplemental Questions for students applying to graduate programs (must be submitted on-line through Grad Admissions)
Letters of Recommendation (must be submitted by your recommenders via Email through Graduate Admissions)
Transcripts (must be submitted on-line through Graduate Admissions) You need to have two official copies sent to the CEE department.
For foreign students required to take the TOEFL, the university does not allow us to admit anyone whose TOEFL score is less than 600 (paper-based, or 230 for the computer-based test, or 100 for the Internet-based test)

课程简介
The Environmental Engineering program has a dual mission: to develop state-of-the-art knowledge, models, and processes that form the core of environmental engineering practice, and to train and educate current and future academic and professional environmental leaders.<br>We pursue these goals by synthesizing physical, biological, and chemical facets of engineering and science along with elements of the social sciences into our research and teaching. Ultimately, our goal is to protect and sustain natural resources and human health by contributing to the sustainable development of physical infrastructure, including systems for wastewater treatment, water supply, renewable energy, and resilient coastal environments.
