Mathematics: Grade 12 C or U, or Grade 11 Functions (MCR3U), or equivalent course
When applying to a Seneca two- or three-year diploma program you must submit:
High school transcripts for grades 10, 11 and 12 showing all program specific pre-requisite courses.
High school/secondary school diploma (certificate of completion).
You may submit transcripts or certificates for any completed university/postsecondary college courses or programs taken inside or outside of Canada.
Academic records that are in a language other than English must include an official/certified English translation.
IELTS Academic - Minimum 6.0 with no skill below 5.5 .
TOEFL (Internet-Based) - Minimum 80 with no skill below 20.

In this two-year diploma program, you will learn about environmental technology, water resources and applied sciences to gain the problem-solving skills needed for success in the environmental sector. As a graduate you will be training to work as an environmental technician within traditional and environmental engineering industries.<br>When you graduate from this program, these are the types of career options that you can explore:<br>Environmental assessment investigator<br>Environmental construction monitor<br>Environmental sampling and monitoring team member<br>Throughout this program you will develop the following skill:<br><br>Collect representative environmental samples and perform routine tests<br>Use scientific concepts and models when contributing to the prevention, control and elimination of environmental hazards and remediation of contaminated sites<br>Analyze water, soil and air samples address related-environmental problems<br>Follow standard procedures for conducting environmental sampling projects<br>Promote and maintain sustainable practices<br>Perform work responsibilities adhering to standards of professional conduct<br>Complete assigned tasks in adherence to occupational health and safety standards<br>Follow established protocols in support of environmental management systems<br>Provide ongoing support for project management<br>Communicate technical information<br>Develop and present strategies for ongoing personal and professional development<br>Optional Co-op<br>Students meeting all academic requirements may have the opportunity to complete an optional co-op work term(s) in a formal work environment. In most cases the work term(s) is a full-time paid position completed between two academic semesters. In programs with limited co-op opportunities, additional academic requirements and a passing grade on a communication assessment may be required for eligibility. Eligibility for participation does not guarantee a work position will be secured. Additional fees are required for those participating in the optional co-op stream regardless of success in securing a work position.
