International students must meet the same admission requirements and will be included in the same selection process as U.S. citizens and permanent residents as described on the First-Year Students page in the Recommended Curriculum and Application Requirements sections. Meeting these requirements does not guarantee admission to Mines. Applicants who are admitted typically will exceed Mines admission requirements. If you have attended both non-U.S. and U.S. schools, both your non-U.S. and U.S. courses and grades will be considered
To complete your application, ask your high school to send us your official high school transcript/marksheets electronically or you may upload an unofficial high school transcript via the Supplemental Materials section of your Applicant Portal 24 hours after submitting your online application.
All students who have attended high school outside of the U.S. are also required to submit a credential evaluation to complete their application. A credential evaluation is a comparison of your academic record to standards in the U.S., a verification of validity and a translation of your grades to the U.S.-style system. Please view the following information for a list of exceptions and a detailed explanation of what is needed and how to obtain an evaluation.
International Baccalaureate- The most competitive international applicants whose schools offer the IB curriculum usually present three IB exams with grades of 5, 6 or 7.
English Language Requirements-
TOFEL IBT -(Reading- 20, Listening 21, Writing 17, Speaking- 21) Score- 79
IELTS Minimum overall band of 6.5 with no band below 6.0.

The Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering program at Colorado School of Mines introduces students to the fundamentals of environmental engineering, including the scientific and regulatory basis of public health and environmental protection. Graduates are prepared to investigate and analyze environmental systems and assess risks to public health and ecosystems as well as evaluate and design natural and engineered solutions to mitigate risks and enable beneficial outcomes.<br>Within three years of attaining the Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering, graduates will be situated in careers or will be successfully pursuing a graduate degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field, advancing in their professional standing, generating new knowledge and/or exercising leadership in their field, and contributing to the needs of society through professional practice, research and/or service.
