The University of Central Missouri's Aviation Maintenance Management 2 plus 2 B.S. program focuses on management and leadership. It is designed for students who currently hold an FAA Aviation Mechanic certificate and have an Associate degree in an aviation technical field. The program is designed to provide a certified aviation maintenance technician with an Associate degree with a high quality educational experience that will lead to a B.S. degree, and serve as a capstone credential that will allow for career advancement and greater opportunity to excel as an aviation professional. This ''2 plus 2'' program is designed to build upon an Associate Degree in Aviation Maintenance. The mission of the Aviation Maintenance Management B.S. program is to prepare students for ready advancement into aviation maintenance management professions by developing sound and advanced student skills including critical thinking and teamwork, attainment of aviation knowledge and awareness of current aviation management issues in aviation maintenance, infused with safety practices and practical applications in a real world environment.
