Complete a four-year college course of study and hold an acceptable baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution by the end of the summer term prior to Fall enrollment or the end of the Fall semester for Spring enrollment.
Be in good standing at the last college or university you attended.
Meet the minimum GPA requirements for admission to the university. This can be met in any of the following ways:
Hold an advanced degree
Hold a baccalaureate degree with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5. (No Rounding)
Hold a baccalaureate degree with a GPA of at least 2.5 (No Rounding) in the last 60 semester or 90 quarter units you attempted, excluding lower-division and/or extension coursework attempted after the baccalaureate degree.
A bachelor's degree in an ABET accredited curriculum in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related engineering degree with a minimum GPA of 2.7 in the last 60 (semester) or 90 (quarter) upperdivision major units attempted. A bachelor's degree in other appropriate disciplines may be considered with the requirement that essential undergraduate prerequisites in engineering are satisfied.
The general Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is required and appropriate level of competency will be determined by the Department.
Students must consult with the MSAE advisor for information concerning procedures and requirements for appropriate approval of their courses of study prior to enrolling in their graduate courses.

Tailored to working professionals with evening classes, CSULB's graduate Mechanical Engineering program helps practicing engineers increase their competence or prepare for more advanced study. Students can complete their Master of Science degrees with a thesis or comprehensive exam. A limited number of teaching or research assistant positions are available.<br>The Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering (MSAE) program aims to provide students with advanced training in sub-disciplines of aerospace engineering that combines modern engineering practice and rigorous theoretical framework to enhance students' pursuit of professional careers and doctoral studies. The program involves application of aerospace engineering knowledge and skills to build students' mastery in the areas of expertise in order to:<br><br>Utilize advanced theoretical techniques in the design and/or analysis of engineering systems,<br>Apply modern experimental and/or computational tools to design and/or simulate engineering systems,<br>Promote the field of study through research and/or development of novel engineering solutions.
