To be considered for admission to the MS program in manufacturing and mechanical systems integration, candidates must fulfill the following requirements:
Complete an online graduate application. Refer to Graduate Admission Deadlines and Requirements for information on application deadlines, entry terms, and more.
Submit copies of official transcript(s) (in English) of all previously completed undergraduate and graduate course work, including any transfer credit earned.
Hold a baccalaureate degree (or US equivalent) from an accredited university or college in the field of engineering, engineering technology, or computing. Students with degrees in other disciplines will be considered on an individual basis.
Recommended minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (or equivalent). Applicants with a lower GPA will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis and may be admitted on a probationary basis. These students will have to secure a B or better average in the first three graduate courses to be considered for full admission.
Submit a current resume or curriculum vitae.

Achieve an advanced level of aptitude, as well as innovative leadership skills, in RIT's manufacturing and mechanical systems integration degree. The master's in manufacturing and mechanical systems integration is a manufacturing engineering degree designed for individuals who wish to achieve a high level of aptitude, competence, and skill in mechanical or manufacturing engineering, or advanced mechanical systems. The manufacturing and mechanical systems integration degree combines engineering, business, and management to effectively guide and lead in a range of manufacturing enterprises.<br><br>The program is offered by the department of manufacturing and mechanical engineering technology in collaboration with Saunders College of Business and the Kate Gleason College of Engineering.<br>The master's in manufacturing and mechanical systems integration includes core courses that cover manufacturing and mechanical systems fundamentals, project management, advanced mechanical systems, integrated mechanical systems, manufacturing process improvements and efficiencies, and the business and financial aspects of manufacturing. You'll also complete a three-course option, elective courses, and a capstone project, thesis, or comprehensive exam.<br><br>Options are available in advanced mechanics, electronics packaging, polymer engineering and technology, product design, quality, and robotics and advanced manufacturing systems. You may be required to take additional prerequisite courses depending on your background and the option selected. The graduate director may approve the waiver of courses in the prerequisite group from graduation requirements, depending on your academic and employment background.
