The Master of Architectural Engineering (M.A.E.) degree is only available as an integrated degree for students enrolled in the B.A.E. program.<br><br>The M.A.E. curriculum is a total of 30 credits of course work, with some of these credits counting toward both the M.A.E. and B.A.E. degrees. The integrated degree program amounts to 172 total credits, 12 credits above the 160 credits for the B.A.E. degree. These 30 credits, which are assigned to the M.A.E. degree upon admission to the integrated program, must be completed with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.<br><br>Applications to the integrated B.A.E./M.A.E. program are evaluated during the seventh semester of study in the undergraduate program. Students must have maintained a GPA for classes taken during their third year of at least 3.00 and must have attained a grade of C or better in all classes listed as AE to be considered for admission. The faculty committee on graduate admissions will consider the student's potential for success at the graduate level based on the student's prior performance and level of commitment.<br><br>The program consists of a formalized cluster of courses designed to provide students with a master's-level education in their option area. These courses, which have been approved by the Department of Architectural Engineering faculty for each option area, integrate the requirements of the B.A.E. with additional graduate credits to provide a graduate-level education.
