Students who opt for this specialization will gain a solid foundation in management science courses, specifically tailored to better prepare them for a career in engineering or applied science management or for graduate studies in management related specializations (e.g. MBA). Students must complete all first year courses and obtain a CLEAR Standing to be eligible to enrol in this specialization. With top-tier professors and collaborations in surrounding world-class hospitals, you’ll be at the forefront of healthcare advancements.In your first year of the Biomedical Engineering degree program, you’ll learn engineering fundamentals, like calculus and physics. In later years, you’ll study topics such as biomechanics, medical robotics and rehabilitation and tissue engineering. In fourth year, your capstone design project will provide you applied design and implementation experience and opportunities to participate in hospital collaborative projects. You’ll also have opportunities to gain experience through an optional paid co-op.
