The Civil Engineering Technology advanced diploma program is a three-year program that focuses on the design and construction of various types of Civil Engineering projects such as buildings, roads, bridges, tunnels, heavy industrial, rail and transit, storm, sanitary and water systems. Students learn the theoretical aspects of various construction technologies in the lecture classes and then work hands-on with actual project drawing sets in the labs. This program also teaches CIM (Civil Information Modelling) through the use of the latest industry-standard software. There is an option for co-op. Civil Engineering Technology is a three-year co-op program that focuses on the design and construction of various types of Civil Engineering projects such as buildings, roads, bridges, tunnels, heavy industrial, rail and transit, storm, sanitary and water systems. The program covers areas that include: Designing reinforced concrete structures, storm, water and sanitary systems, roads and steel-framed structures. Interpreting construction drawings and specifications for various types of projects through extensive practical training from project drawing sets. Estimating, bidding, scheduling and managing/supervising projects using the latest software. Health and safety, site management and quality management on construction sites.
