Generally, this includes 4 years of English, 3-4 years of mathematics, 2-3 years of science, and 3 years of social studies and/or history.
Specific math and science requirements and other recommendations 3 years of math required, pre-calculus recommended.

In RIT's BS in computer engineering youll design computer hardware, components, and software to develop next-gen products and appliances that contain embedded systems. In the computer industry, there is a great demand for computer engineers who can do it allfrom designing high performance computer hardware components and software to developing next-generation intelligent, resilient, and sustainable products and appliances that contain embedded systems.<br>RIT's BS in computer engineering begins with the fundamental math, science, and technology courses that are essential to the curriculum. Emphasis is placed on selected areas of computer science, software engineering, and electrical engineering, including:<br><br>Data structures<br>Object-oriented programming languages<br>Circuits<br>Electronics<br>Principles of software engineering<br>Upper-level computer engineering courses prepare you to integrate hardware and software by formulating complete system solutions. This is achieved through courses in:<br><br>Computer architecture<br>Digital systems<br>Interfacing<br>Computer networks<br>Digital signal processing<br>Concentration areas provide you with an opportunity to gain additional in-depth knowledge in an area of particular interest within computer engineering.
