TOEFL PBT - Total: 550
IELTS - Overall: 6.5, Each Section: 6.0
An International Baccalaureate grade of 4 or higher in English A1 or A2 at the Higher Level or Standard Level or English B at the Higher Level is required for admission (predicted or actual).
Graduation from a U.S. high school and completion three (3) full years of regular English (non-ESL) course work with a grade point average of 2.5 in those courses. Students who have attended at least two (2) years of high school in the U.S. (at the time of application) are also expected to submit an ACT or SAT and meet our freshman admission standards.
Submission of ONE of the following test scores:
a) 21 or higher on the ACT English
b) 520 or higher on the SAT I Evidence-based Reading and Writing (if taken after March 2016)
c) 500 or higher on the SAT I Verbal (if taken prior to March 2016)
An ACT or SAT score is not required, unless you have attended at least two (2) years of school in the U.S. at the time of application or wish to apply for a scholarship.

The department offers courses in computer architecture, data structures and algorithms, automata theory, compilers, operating system, object-oriented design and implementation, web programming, software engineering, computer graphics, computer networks, parallel programming, computer security, software testing, database design, data mining, machine learning, human computer interaction, green computing, artificial intelligence, and several programming languages including C, C, Java, Python, and Assembly. Computer Science graduates can further their studies in graduate schools or enter the workforce in fields like hardware manufacturing, software development, environment management, computer applications, aerospace, chemicals, and secondary school teaching.<br><br>The mission of the Department of Computer Science is to advance the knowledge of computer science and technology through education, research, and service for the betterment of society.The mission of the Department of Computer Science envisions becoming a reputable doctoral-granting department, expanding its depth and breadth in the research, teaching, and study of applied computing, and increasing the enrollment of quality students.Graduating students who understand the values and requirements of responsible professionalism and lifelong learning.Providing quality service to the university, the profession, and the community.<br><br>The BS and BA degrees require a minimum of 120 semester hours and include a total of 36 advanced (junior-, senior-level) hours, and 9 hours of Writing Intensive (WI) coursework. Students also must complete a minor in another program of study. Students can select a minor from any department which offers a minor. Please refer to the undergraduate catalog for a list of minors.
