Admission to both the M.S. and the Ph.D. in computer science and engineering requires students to submit a statement describing your research interests and letters of recommendation. TOEFL or IELTS scores are also required for students from non-English speaking countries. GRE scores are recommended, but for Fall 2021 applications, they are not required.
Ph.D. applicants: A minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.25 for applicants without an M.S. degree or a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0 for applicants with an M.S. degree
For international applicants to both the M.S. and Ph.D. program: A minimum TOEFL of 80 or IELTS of 6.5

Instead, rapid advances in computing technology have made computer science and engineering part of your everyday life, whether it's your smartphone or your online application to the University of Nevada, Reno.A master's degree in computer science and engineering provides in-depth knowledge of theory and design of computing systems. The degree prepares students for advanced jobs in industry or for further study and research as part of a Ph.D. program.The master's degree program offers an integrated course of study covering the theory, implementation and design of information, computing and communication systems. Students in our program take advanced courses in computer science and engineering and have the opportunity to work closely with faculty on grant-funded research projects.
