In Environmental Geomatics you'll get the opportunity to study the processes and properties of the biophysical environment, both in the field and in the classroom. Then you'll apply your geographical knowledge and understanding of our ever-changing environment in ways that are relevant to building a sustainable and resilient society.<br>Upon completing this program, graduates become leaders at local consulting firms, various government agencies, and non-government organizations. This mix of scientific and technical training is in demand and can lead to work in fields like flood-plain mapping, emergency management, rural planning and more.<br>The emphasis on geomatics and spatial technologies (such as geographic information systems and remote sensing) will give you a recognized specialization as an environmental professional. This program provides opportunities for study of the processes and properties of the biophysical environment and a core foundation in the analytical techniques (i.e. Geographical Information Science and Remote Sensing) used for their interpretation, analysis and presentation.
