The mission of the Industrial Technology program at Mississippi State University is to prepare management-oriented technical professionals for employment in the industrial, manufacturing, business, government, and education sectors. Through teaching, research, and service, this program will provide a framework of professional development for such individuals, preparing them for rewarding careers in the Industrial Technology field and the ever-evolving, technologically complex, and increasingly diverse society we live in. Industrial Technology is a field of study designed to prepare technical and management professionals for employment in mechanical, industrial, manufacturing, and process technology fields. Our graduates fill positions in a variety of roles including: management, operations, maintenance, quality control, process control, packaging, coatings, and finishing.
