Environmental and Occupational Health:
Overall GPA and science GPA.
Work experience in environmental and occupational health or a related discipline.
Other requirements, as required by University policy (e.g., TOEFL).
A statement of purpose (approximately 500 words) is required. This statement should address how the candidate discovered the field of environmental and occupational health and why the applicant wants to pursue this field.
Acceptance Criteria
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above.
Completion of the lower division science core:
One year of biology with laboratory
One year of general chemistry with laboratory
One semester of organic chemistry with laboratory
College algebra and trigonometry, or pre-calculus
One year of physics with laboratory
One semester of biostatistics or statistics

IELTS - 6.5, TOEFL Internet Based score - 79, TOEFL Paper-based score - 550

The M.S. in EOH is a research-oriented degree in environmental sciences, focused on building the knowledge and skills you need to identify and answer important questions about how the physical environment influences human health. You'll also learn how to disseminate those findings.<br><br>You'll undergo rigorous training in the research methods required to address key questions and generate evidence on how the environment influences health, with a focus on modifiable factors that can be addressed through policy.<br>The M.S. degree is designed to prepare you for higher-level professional activities, including research, analysis and management of EOH systems.<br><br>You'll learn how to become an independent researcher, while developing the competencies needed to hold a leadership position in environmental and occupational health in government, private industry or the nonprofit sector.<br><br>You'll study research design and methodology, environmental and occupational health concepts and administration of EOH programs. You'll choose from such electives as advanced toxicology, occupational ergonomics, EOH epidemiology, advanced risk analysis and EOH sustainability.
