This course requires successful completion of 240 credit points which includes eight core subjects, fourteen key program subjects taken in an engineering specialisation (Civil, Electrical and Mechanical) and two elective subjects at level 2 above, which can be chosen from any discipline available at Sydney City Campus. Students must also undertake 12 weeks of industrial experience. The Bachelor of Engineering Science is offered as an entry program to a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours). It is also offered as a three-year exit course for the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours).<br>The course structure, core subjects and electives are similar to the first three years of the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) course.<br>The Bachelor of Engineering Science is offered with key programs in Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.<br>The course will train you to become an Engineering Technologist.<br>Engineering Technologists make an important contribution to the engineering profession. As a Bachelor of Engineering Science graduate from Western Sydney University you can:<br>use your strong knowledge base to carry out specific and complex engineering tasks<br>analyse and modify new and existing engineering technologies and apply them in the testing and implementation of engineering projects<br>focus on interactions within engineering systems<br>identify and solve complex, specialised engineering problems by applying innovative practices and procedures.<br>As an Engineering Technologist, you are adept at utilising your strong knowledge base to carry out specific and complex engineering tasks.
