A-Level: Grades AAA at A-Level. This must include A-Level Mathematics. International Baccalaureate Diploma with a minimum of 36 points overall, including 6,6,6 from three Higher Level subjects. This must include a minimum of 6 in Standard Level Mathematics, if not being studied at Higher Level. We will consider either Mathematics: Applications and interpretation or Mathematics: Analysis and approaches at Standard or Higher Level. Excludes Maths Studies. GCSE: Minimum five GCSE passes including English at grade C or 4 and Maths at grade B or 5. BTEC: DDD. All BTEC subjects are considered. Grade A in A-Level Mathematics is required in addition to the BTEC.

Economics is all about untangling how the world works - and how to make it a better place. Our degree aligns with what you experience in the real world. Explore everything from inflation and unemployment to the behaviour and motivations of individuals and companies. You’ll learn from a dynamic teaching team that actively shapes policies and influences public debate through cutting-edge research. This degree offers professional training in economics, providing an excellent basis for employment in the private or state sector or for further academic study. We’ll help you master the quantitative techniques you need to investigate relationships between economic variables. Throughout your studies, you’ll have access to our Bloomberg trading room. Here you’ll use the same economic and financial data used by practitioners in industry. You can complete your Economics degree in three, four or five years. If you choose to spend a year studying abroad or a year in industry, this will take place in Year 3, and the Year 3 modules will instead be studied in Year 4.
