A-level: AAA including Mathematics.
Where an A-Level Science subject is taken, we require a pass in the practical science element, alongside the achievement of the A-Level at the stated grade.
Excludes A-Level General Studies or Critical Thinking.
Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) and International Project Qualification (IPQ): We recognise the value of these qualifications and the effort and enthusiasm that applicants put into them, and where an applicant offers an A in the EPQ or IPQ we may make an offer of AAB at A-Level (any required subjects such as Mathematics must still be at grade A).
GCSE: English Language at grade C (4) or above, or an appropriate English language qualification. We will accept Level 2 Functional Skills English in lieu of GCSE English.
IB - 35 points overall with 18 points at Higher level to include 5 in HL Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches or 6 in HL Mathematics: Applications and Interpretation.
IELTS 6.0 overall, with no less than 5.5 in any component
TOEFL iBT - 87 (with no less than 20 in listening, 20 in reading, 22 in speaking and 21 in writing).

This degree course allows you to study advanced electronic design, including system-on-chip design, embedded systems engineering and integrated circuit design and layout. Core modules will develop your knowledge and skills across a range of key topics in electronic engineering, as well as giving you a foundation in the key mathematical and physical principles that underpin the subject. You'll also have the chance to study modules in specialist topics such as medical electronics or communications systems in line with your career plans and personal interests. You'll be taught by expert researchers in world-class facilities, and project work in every year of the course will equip you with valuable professional skills. This degree offers you a launchpad to a wide range of careers across the electronics sector. The first three years of this programme are identical to the Electronic and Communications Engineering BEng. You may choose to take the three-year Bachelor (BEng) degree in Electronic and Communications Engineering if you do not wish to complete the four-year integrated Masters (MEng, BEng) You will have access to excellent teaching facilities, including the ARM-sponsored Embedded Systems Laboratory, the Keysight Technologies Electronics Laboratory and the NXP Electronics Systems Laboratory, all featuring professional-standard equipment including arbitrary function generators and digital oscilloscopes.<br><br>Study abroad: Optional and Work placement: Optional
