Normally a good undergraduate honours degree (2.1 or above), or equivalent from a university outside the UK. Our students come with a variety of relevant legal and non-legal experience and all applicants are considered on individual merit.

With this MSc Oil and Gas programme you will gain a practice-focused approach leading to employability prospects in the oil and gas industry.An interdisciplinary approach combining Law and Business, MSc Oil and Gas constitutes a range of modules, including some led by the Henley Business School. It takes a practice-focused approach, giving you links with employers and opportunities to gain real-world experience.You will develop insights on the legal and regulatory aspects raised in this dynamic industry, boosting your employability prospects in a range of oil and gas industries: states, government agencies, international courts and tribunals, multinational corporations, law firms looking for individuals with advanced knowledge of the sector, academic and many more.This course studies the combination of legal, environmental and economic considerations which lie at the heart of the oil and gas industry. Modules can be chosen from the School of Law, School of Economics, School of Agriculture, Policy and Development, Henley Business School and the School of Archaeology, Geography and Environmental Science. You will enhance your knowledge of the oil and gas industry and improve your employability not only for law firms active in these industries but also for in-house legal teams.<br><br>A postgraduate law degree will open many doors not only in specialised areas of employment, such as law firms, European and intergovernmental and non-governmental organisations (NGOs), but also in academia (with further postgraduate study), the media (journalism and broadcasting), the civil service, and other branches of public service.<br><br>Graduates from our LLM course have gone on to work for various national and international law firms, as lawyers and as in-house legal counsel for large multinational companies in the UK and abroad, as well as international organisations and NGOs. A good proportion of our recent graduates are working with the European Union, the International Criminal Court (ICC) and the International Police (INTERPOL), amongst others.
