The following course-specific admission requirements are mandatory and must be satisfied by all applicants. These requirements are in addition to or supersede the minimum requirements outlined within the Academic admission requirements band section below.

All applicants must meet the academic admission requirements for this course. The indicative or guaranteed ATAR is as published (where applicable) or academic admission requirements may be satisfied through completion of one of the following:
AQF Cert IV,
Successfully completed 0.25 EFTSL of study at bachelor level or higher at an Australian higher education provider (or equivalent),
Undergraduate Certificate,
Special Tertiary Admissions Test,*
University Preparation Course,*
Indigenous University Orientation Course,*
Aboriginal University Readiness Assessment, or*
Experience Based Entry Scheme.
International Baccalaureate Diploma - Minimum of 24 points (Minimum of 28 points for Law), consisting of aggregate from 3 higher level & 3 subsidiary level
IELTS Academic Overall band minimum score of 6.0 (no individual band less than 6.0),
TOEFL iBT or TOEFL iBT Special Home Edition - Minimum score of 70, with no individual score less than 17.
TOEFL paper-based test (PBT) - Minimum score of 550, including Test of Written English of 5 or better.

Recommended for students who wish to enter the aviation industry in non-flying roles. This major provides a broad professional education and introduction to the core industry activity of flying people and freight from point-to-point.<br><br>Learning Outcomes<br>Demonstrate broad and coherent knowledge of the concepts, best-practice principles and professional developments in aviation from local and global perspectives.<br>Demonstrate a practical knowledge of aircraft systems and operating procedures.<br>Review, analyse and synthesise knowledge in order to carry out advanced flight planning operations.<br>Exercise critical thinking and judgement to appropriately manage crew resources.<br>Apply technology, information and English literacy and numeric proficiency to generate, evaluate and communicate ideas in written and oral forms across a range of aviation contexts.<br>Demonstrate initiative, planning and decision making to coordinate flight operations.<br>Apply knowledge and skills in relation to aeronautical operations to a diversity of practical scenarios, displaying creativity and innovation, successfully communicating decisions and solutions pertaining to them.<br>Identify sustainability issues and principles that are applicable to aviation and integrate them into all aspects of professional practice.
