AAB
including Maths and a science
A Levels (Plus) additional qualifications ABB, including Maths and a science (Plus) B in a relevant EPQ, ABB, including Maths and a science (Plus) A in AS Level or B in A Level Further Maths
International Baccalaureate 34, with 6, 5 in Higher Level Maths and a science
BTEC Extended Diploma DDD in Engineering or Applied Science (Plus) A in A Level Maths
Scottish Highers (Plus) 2 Advanced Highers AAABB (Plus) AB in Maths and a science
Welsh Baccalaureate (Plus) 2 A Levels B (Plus) AA in Maths and a science
Access to HE Diploma 60 credits overall in a relevant subject with 45 credits at Level 3, including 36 credits at Distinctions to include 5 Maths and 15 Physics (or an appropriate science) and 9 credits at Merit (Plus) grade B in A Level Maths

You must demonstrate that your English is good enough for you to successfully complete your course. For this course we require: GCSE English Language at grade 4/C, IELTS grade of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each component, or an alternative acceptable English language qualification
TOEFL iBT - Overall score of 88 with a minimum of 19 in Listening, 20 in Reading, 22 in Speaking and 19 in Writing

Begin your journey as a pilot by combining hands-on experience of flying and building aircraft with a thorough understanding of aerospace engineering.<br><br>This BEng brings together the essential theories of aerospace engineering with more intensive pilot training.<br><br>Over three years youll study modules on propulsion, instrumentation, computation and design of aerodynamics tailoring the degree to follow either avionic systems or aeromechanics.<br><br>Alongside the theoretical, youll take ground training for flight and five hours of flight training. You can also expand your experience thanks to our links with the Yorkshire Universities Air Squadron.<br><br>Well teach you how to manage a project from start to finish, and how to communicate with people from a wide range of engineering disciplines. In your final year, you'll work on a research project led by one of our world leading academics.<br><br>This course is the ideal first step on the journey to becoming a pilot, and you can make arrangements with local flying schools to continue to a UK or European private pilot's licence once you graduate.
