课程简介
Study the core of mechatronics and robotics - from intelligent system design to control and embedded systems. Turn concepts into creations using 3D CAD, 3D printing, laser cutting and the iForge makerspace. Bring robots and intelligent machines to life with a degree that combines mechanics, electronics, computing and control. Informed by world-leading research and designed with industry partners, this course equips you with the skills, creativity and hands-on experience to become a highly employable engineer. You’ll work with industry standard equipment and explore real applications in robotics, industrial control and advanced manufacturing. In Year 1, you will build a solid foundation in mathematics, computing, electronics and system modelling, while gaining teamwork and project skills. Year 2 expands into robot principles, mechanics and machine vision alongside control, communications and embedded systems. Apply your knowledge in practical design projects, learning programming and system integration. In Year 3, you will undertake an advanced project and specialise in one of two specialisations that matches your ambitions: Mechatronics & Robotics – eg robot design, motion planning, sensor fusion, machine learning. Control – eg digital signal processing, control systems design, machine learning and optimisation. Graduates of this course are highly sought after in sectors such as robotics, aerospace, automotive, energy and advanced manufacturing.
