课程简介
Get ready to tackle the technological challenges of the future with our BEng Mechatronic and Robotic Engineering with Industrial Year. Become a skilled electrical engineer with real workplace experience and prepare for an exciting career. Discover electronic and mechanical design, intelligent systems and robotics. Study with us and you’ll graduate ready for roles in a range of industries such as transport, manufacturing, space technologies and healthcare. Spend a year working in industry to test-drive your career options. This degree is accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology on behalf of the Engineering Council for the purposes of fully meeting the academic requirement for registration as an Incorporated Engineer and partly meeting the academic requirement for registration as a Chartered Engineer. Combining the theoretical and practical, this course will build your knowledge of electronic, mechanical and computer technologies and their applications. From digital electronics and the Internet of Things to augmented reality, software engineering and machine learning, you’ll explore key topics. Benefit from learning in our state-of-the-art building with a Design Centre and the Makerspace practical facility. With our Integrated Design Projects, you can work alongside mechanical and civil engineers to develop designs for technologies that impact the world. Your industrial year will show you how to apply your knowledge, develop professional skills and build your networks. You’ll graduate with interdisciplinary experience for roles in various industries. You'll receive plenty of feedback to help you progress, ranging from written feedback on your assessments to class feedback sessions and discussions with your tutor. The feedback will highlight the positives of your work as well as any areas that need more attention. You'll be assigned a personal tutor who'll remain with you throughout your studies to help you in three important areas: supporting your academic progress, developing transferable skills and dealing with any welfare issues. You'll also need to undertake a considerable amount of self study. It's an essential part of the programme, which requires self motivation and enthusiasm for your subject. It also allows you to pursue your own lines of enquiry and become an independent thinker.
