Successful completion of a relevant HND or equivalent qualification. The faculty can be flexible on entry criteria but students with an engineering or business background would be suited to this course.
Consideration will be made on an individual basis for alternative qualifications and/or relevant experience providing students can demonstrate sufficient related knowledge and understanding to equip them for level 6 study in a business discipline. Applicants will need to demonstrate 240 credits (or equivalent) and the University's Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) policy may feature in the decision to offer a place on the course.
IELTS with an overall score of 6.0 with at least 5.5 in each component. Please note that for those students who do not require a UKVI SELT, USW will also be able to accept the IELTS at-home test when it becomes available
TOEFL iBT with a score of 72 overall and a minimum of 18 in reading, 17 in listening, 20 in speaking and 17 in writing (including Home Edition)

This is a one-year top up to a modern engineering management degree that allows you to use your analytical and business skills to solve real-life problems and is relevant to a wide range of industries. Technology management engineers are sought-after in all types of industries, from food processing to pharmaceutical manufacture, as well as in high-profile sectors such as automotive and aerospace. The overall aim of the course is to develop the intellectual, practical and interpersonal skills of our students, and to prepare them for a career in engineering technology in the engineering management field. This is achieved by providing a sound educational base in the fundamental theoretical, practical, sustainable and managerial aspects of engineering technology together with other complementary topics appropriate for the level of study. An important consideration that has been addressed is that the students should find their studies not only stimulating and challenging but also enjoyable and rewarding. At USW we have a long history of industrial engagement and we have used this knowledge to develop a challenging and stimulating course.<br><br>Technology management engineers are sought-after in all types of industries, from food processing to pharmaceutical manufacture, as well as in high-profile sectors such as automotive and aerospace. You could work in design, analytics, research or test and development organisations, managing anything from suspension systems to turbojet engines. This BSc (hons) Engineering Technology Management award has been developed with engineering professionals from our industrial advisory board. We have strong links with industry and place considerable emphasis on student projects.
