TOEFL 80 overall with no less than 19 in Reading, 19 in Listening, 21 in Speaking and 19 in Writing. 6.0 overall with no less than 5.5 in any band.

Become an engineer ready to tackle the challenges of our modern world with BEng Engineering at Birmingham. This flexible programme means you’ll get to explore engineering disciplines before choosing your specialism. Solve global problems by creating smart, digital and sustainable engineering solutions. You'll learn the advanced skills to operate as an engineer in various industries. With practical and theoretical experience, you’ll learn the fundamentals and build a thorough understanding of each discipline: civil, mechanical and electronic, electrical and systems engineering. You can then specialise and deepen your knowledge. With a Design Centre and the Makerspace, you’ll be able to apply your new skills in state-of-the-art facilities. Enjoy working alongside students from other departments to build interdisciplinary experience. From construction and infrastructure to energy and climate resilience, open the door to a range of career options. Your degree will begin with a blend of exams and coursework, before shifting to continuous assessment in project work during later years. This will allow you to specialise after undertaking a thorough foundation of engineering principles at the start of your studies. You'll receive plenty of feedback to help you progress, ranging from written feedback on your assessments to class feedback sessions and discussions with your tutor.
