including Maths
A Levels (Plus) additional qualifications AAB, including A in Maths (Plus) A in a relevant EPQ, AAB, including Maths (Plus) A in AS or B in A Level Further Maths
International Baccalaureate 36, with 6 in Higher Level Maths
BTEC Extended Diploma DDD in Engineering (Plus) A in A Level Maths
Scottish Highers (Plus) 1 Advanced Higher AAAAB (Plus) A in Maths
Welsh Baccalaureate (Plus) 2 A Levels A (Plus) AA, including Maths
Access to HE Diploma 60 credits overall in a relevant subject, with 45 credits at Level 3, including 39 credits at Distinction (to include Maths and Science or Engineering units) and 6 credits at Merit (Plus) grade A in A Level Maths. Applicants are considered individually

You must demonstrate that your English is good enough for you to successfully complete your course. For this course we require: GCSE English Language at grade 4/C, IELTS grade of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each component, or an alternative acceptable English language qualification
TOEFL iBT - Overall score of 88 with a minimum of 19 in Listening, 20 in Reading, 22 in Speaking and 19 in Writing

Develop advanced technical and multidisciplinary design skills in civil engineering tackling complex issues related to sustainable and resilient infrastructure.<br><br>Taught by research-active academics and teachers with extensive industrial experience, the Civil Engineering MEng at Sheffield is the right choice to gain a broad grounding in civil engineering and deepen your knowledge in advanced topics.<br><br>The course integrates a strong focus on civil engineering analysis and design with the latest research on sustainable development equipping you to tackle challenges in the built environment and design innovative solutions that minimise impact on the environment.<br><br>Years one and two see you develop a sound understanding of core principles: structural engineering, materials, fluid mechanics, and geotechnics.<br><br>Group projects will challenge you to take on complex real-world problems applying your engineering knowledge to create sustainable solutions, while developing the transferable skills like communication, team working and project management, sought after by employers.<br><br>The second half of the course prepares you for your future career, extending your design experience and allowing you to specialise in those advanced topics youre passionate about. Youll also develop and carry out your own research project with one of the academic staff.<br><br>You can unleash your ingenuity and creativity on a grand scale by designing conceptual solutions for a low-environmental impact urban regeneration project, and then engineering one aspect of the project in greater detail.<br><br>The course challenges you to solve increasingly complex problems so that you'll graduate as a skilled, competent and well-rounded engineer, ready to make a contribution to engineering a more sustainable world.
