国际学生入学条件

General requirements of the Graduate School must be satisfied. In addition, students admitted to the graduate chemistry program are assumed to have training equivalent to the chemistry B.S. degree recommended by the American Chemical Society. The degree includes lecture and laboratory work in organic chemistry, physical chemistry, inorganic chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, polymer chemistry, and materials chemistry. Graduation from an undergraduate program not adhering to ACS standards does not preclude entrance into the UAH program. Students should realize, however, that if deficiencies exist, some additional undergraduate courses might be required. The time required to complete the M.S. degree may then be proportionately increased.
A bachelor's degree, or equivalent, from an approved institution. A minimum grade point average of a 3.0 on the undergraduate record.

TOEFL iBT - All sub-scores must be greater or equal 18. TOEFL Essentials - All subscores must be greater or equal to 8. IELTS - All sub-scores must be greater or equal to 6.0.

The United States is the top chemical producer in the world, accounting for nearly one-fifth of world production. Huntsville and the surrounds are the southern home of the US chemical industry. A graduate degree in Chemistry raises your knowledge and skill base to take on supervisory roles.<br>A graduate degree builds upon a student's firm scientific foundation to significantly enhance their knowledge and skill base. A Graduate degree opens doors. Graduates can expect to enter employment positions at a higher level, while a graduate degree may also be a requirement for progress beyond certain career ceilings.<br>The MS in Chemistry includes advanced lectures and laboratory work in organic chemistry, physical chemistry, inorganic chemistry, analytical chemistry, and a choice of either a biochemistry, polymer chemistry, or materials chemistry specialization. Students will gain leadership experience either as a graduate teaching assistant or supervision of undergraduate students as a graduate research assistant. Students will learn to effectively present chemical knowledge in writing, or deliver an effective oral presentation of their research. Graduates are well situated for satisfactory employment or enrollment in a PhD or professional degree program.
