The Department of Chemistry at Johns Hopkins University is made up of internationally recognized faculty involved in all areas of contemporary chemical science, including many interdisciplinary areas interfacing chemistry with the fields of biology, medicine, physics, and materials. The department fosters ongoing research programs in analytical, atmospheric, environmental, bioorganic, biophysical, inorganic, bioinorganic, synthetic organic, organometallic, physical organic, physical, surface, and theoretical chemistry, and chemical physics.
