Academic Transcripts -
You must submit transcripts from every school or college you have attended including -
transcripts from every high school attended grades nine through 12 or equivalent.
transcripts from all colleges-universities attended.
If your transcripts are in a language other than English you must submit -
the original transcripts in native language.

US High School Students -
If you attend a US high school, you must submit every transcript from each high school you attended grades nine through 12 including -
US high school transcripts.
transcripts from any high schools you attended in your home country.

They do not accept grades from your home country that have been transferred to or adjusted by your US high school This is why you must include the transcripts from your home country.
Your core coursework grades must meet one of the following requirements -
GPA of 2.5 or higher on a U.S. 4.0 scale.
GPA of 3.5 or higher on a U.S. 5.0 scale.
Average grades of 80 or higher on a 100-point scale.
Average grades of 8 or higher on a 10-point scale.
IGCSE scores of C or higher in five or more subjects AND three A-level certificates with a C or higher.
TOEFL - 100, Minimum Section Score - 17
IELTS - 7.0, Minimum Section Score - 6.5

This degree is a bachelor of science in education in secondary education with an emphasis in chemistry. Additionally, upon successfully completing the initial teacher-certification process, the state grants you certification in secondary chemistry (grades 9 through 12).<br><br>Early Level<br>Course Work<br><br>The majority of your time in Early Level is spent completing your general-education requirements. Additionally, you start chemistry content courses like general chemistry and geology.<br><br>Course work focuses on facilitating learning at all levels of development. Consideration is given to the influences of cultural, political, historical and economic factors on students, teachers and schools.<br><br>Field Experiences<br><br>Field experiences in Early Level include:<br><br>Sixteen hours in a classroom environment tutoring and working with students in small groups under teacher supervision.<br>Twenty hours in a service-learning environment serving in community organizations (e.g., Big Brothers Big Sisters, Granny's House).<br>Mid-Level<br>You must apply for admittance into Mid-Level in the spring of your sophomore year. For more information about the application process, please consult your adviser.<br><br>Course Work<br><br>Course work consists of learning the methods of teaching chemistry. This includes understanding the nature of science, strategies for assessing science learning and pathways for developing into a chemistry teacher.<br><br>Field Experiences:<br><br>You will spend approximately 24 hours per semester in classrooms working with chemistry students and teachers. As you gain experience in schools and familiarity with local classrooms, you begin to work with individual students, small groups and eventually lead class instruction.
