化学专业课程要求28个三学期的一学期课程或同等学历的课程，总共最低84个学分，再加上相关实验室课程的14个学分，总共98个学分。（大多数100级和200级课程为3学分的一学期课程，必须与指定的实验室课程同时获得一个额外的学分，而6学分的两个学期课程则需要同时获得两个额外的实验室学分的实验室课程）。84个课程学分分为：必修化学课程42个学分（加上14个实验室学分），生物化学3个学分，12个可选科学学分和27个可选学分。在本系的另一科目中，修读小课程的学生可以在本系的许可下，将免费课程的选择最多增加33个学分
