国际学生入学条件
International applicants, like all applicants to Brown, are expected to complete secondary school. Brown's first-year students will have completed 12 to 13 years of primary and secondary schooling. Similar to applications from students within the United States, we evaluate applications from students outside the United States with their context and opportunities in mind.
English language proficiency must be achieved before you are admitted. Brown does not offer courses in English as a Second Language for its undergraduates and does not offer provisional acceptances to students who are deficient in English.

Biological anthropology focuses on the biological aspects of the human condition, emphasizing especially our evolutionary legacy and the role of social processes in shaping biological phenemona. The Department of Anthropology offers a core course in biological anthropology (Human Evolution) as well as advanced courses on the human skeleton and other select topics. The undergraduate concentration in Anthropology involves core training in the four fields of anthropology: socio-cultural anthropology, archaeology, linguistic anthropology, and biological anthropology. Some concentrators choose to explore the full breadth of anthropology, while others focus on one of the particular fields or even one of the curricular strengths of the department, such as medical anthropology or Mayanist archaeology. Many of the department's courses are also appropriate for non-concentrators and we encourage students from throughout the Brown community to take advantage of our courses and other programmatic offerings. The Department of Anthropology at Brown is a vibrant, award-winning group of scholars working primarily in the subfields of cultural anthropology, archaeology, and anthropological linguistics. The concentration provides students with a broad introduction to the discipline and includes the major subdisciplines of the field: sociocultural anthropology, archaeology, anthropological linguistics, and biological anthropology.
