Certified, translated copies of all transcripts, mark sheets, and diplomas from your school. Mississippi State recommends all school credentials from non-U.S. institutions be submitted through a National Association of Credential Evaluation Services member (NACES member agency, https://www.naces.org/members) for a course-by-course evaluation with grade point average calculation. MSU's preferred transcript evaluation service is TEC or MyIEE.
An official ACT score of 20 or higher, or SAT score of 1030 (only if your GPA is below 3.0 based on our evaluation of your transcripts OR if you are applying for scholarships).
International undergraduate students applying to Mississippi State University must demonstrate English language proficiency in order to register for academic courses. The following methods of a demonstration are approved:
International English Language Testing System (IELTS): minimum band score of 6.0.
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): minimum 525 for paper-based test, 197 for computer-based test, and 71 for Internet-based test
English portion of the ACT: minimum 19.

Anthropology is the study of humans as biological and cultural beings. Its subfields include archaeology, biological anthropology, cultural anthropology, and linguistics. Students majoring in anthropology may undertake course work in all four subfields, AMEC offers concentrations in archaeology, cultural anthropology, and biological anthropology.<br>Anthropology is a particularly broad major, designed for students who are preparing for employment with research organizations, museums, for administrative and research positions with state or federal governments (such as state highway departments and the National Park Service), and with human service agencies or organizations that involve work in foreign countries, among other areas.<br><br>The Anthropology faculty and staff are housed in the Cobb Institute of Archaeology. There are other archaeologists in the Institute, including specialists in the Middle East and Southeastern U.S. Facilities include archaeology laboratories, darkroom, drafting room, and the Lois Dowdle Cobb Museum of Archaeology. The museum houses artifacts from Mississippi and the Middle East, including replicas of large-scale relief sculptures and statues from Assyria and Egypt.
