2 Letters of Recommendation (thesis only)
Transcripts (in English) from all colleges and universities attended. All unofficial copies of transcripts and scores can be uploaded to your online application for S&T to review. Upon arrival on campus, you must request that an official copy of your transcript(s) to be sent to us directly from your previous university's registrar's office and all official scores reported directly from the respective testing agency. Once we receive the official documents, we will verify them. If there are any discrepancies between the unofficial documents you submitted, Missouri S&T will withdraw your admission and you will not be allowed to apply to S&T in the future.
A statement of purpose (personal statement) of 1,000 words or less on why you are interested in the program

Admission as a regular graduate student is normally limited to those who ranked in the upper third of their baccalaureate graduating class or who have done quality work at the graduate level. For this requirement, a cumulative B average (3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale), or a B average (3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale) for the student's last sixty credit hours of undergraduate coursework is considered equivalent to an upper one-third standing.
On the Personal Statement screen, you must submit a statement of 1,000 words or less on why youre interested in the program. This statement may include your educational goals, discussion of personal circumstances, and faculty you wish to work with.

课程简介

Department overview<br>Physics is the most fundamental of sciences and lies at the foundation of nearly all technical fields.<br>The mission of the Missouri S&T Physics Department is:<br><br>To perform cutting-edge physics research aimed at expanding human knowledge and fostering<br>technological applications.<br>To educate and train the next generation of scientists and engineers.<br>To disseminate knowledge for the benefit of the state of Missouri, the nation, and the world.<br>Our department is uniquely positioned within the University of Missouri System and the entire state. We have strong research programs in astrophysics, atomic, molecular and optical (AMO) physics, as well as condensed matter and materials physics. The AMO physics program is the only such program in the University of Missouri System. Our astrophysics program houses the only LIGO (gravitational wave) research group in the state. The department is heavily involved in interdisciplinary activities, in particular in materials research and high-performance computing.
