物理学学士学位为多个专业领域的职业提供机会。不建议计划学习物理或相关领域研究生的学生。该学位要求的最低学期学分，包括核心课程要求，为120。该学位要求的总学分学时的三十九必须在高年级。所有物理学专业的学生都必须完成所有必修和选修的物理课程，并取得“ C”或更高的成绩。
UTSA offers two pathways to a Physics degree, a B.A. or B.S. You can also earn a Minor in Physics and/or in Astronomy. The programs offer a complete curriculum of advanced courses such as Classical Mechanics and Statistical Thermodynamics, Electrodynamics, Quantum Mechanics, Mathematical Physics, Astrophysics and Space Physics, as well as advanced electives in a variety of topics. The degrees provide opportunities for several career fields, but the B.S. is recommended if youre planning to pursue graduate studies in physics or related subjects.<br>Internships allow you to obtain work experience, explore a chosen career path and increase your marketability to employers. Students can access Handshake, UTSA's jobs portal, to search for jobs and internships and recruiting and event information. UTSA's Career Center has a COS career counselor who provides internship opportunities and advice to students across every science major.<br>The B.A. Degree in Physics is intended for students seeking a foundation in physics as a liberal arts degree but who typically do not intend to become physicists. The flexibility in this degree program allows students to gain significant educational breadth in other disciplines. The B.A. degree also offers a Concentration in 6-12th Grade Physical Science Teacher Certification, which prepares students for a career in teaching secondary physical science.
