国际学生入学条件
baccalaureate degree in physics or its equivalent from a college or university of recognized standing. We consider applications from non-physics majors with good background in physics.
Adequate preparation for graduate study of physics as witnessed by an academic transcript of undergraduate courses.
Fluent command of the English language-foreign students for whom English is a second language should submit scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or from the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
Evidence of promise in advanced study and research.
Three strong letters of recommendation, at least two from professors in a position to write about your fitness for graduate work in physics.
Students of any race, color, sex, religion, sexual orientation, nationality or ethnic origin.
The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is required for applicants whose native language is not English. Scores must be officially reported by the Educational Testing Service to the Syracuse Graduate School
please keep your personal statement 1-2 pages, maximum. You should upload it as a PDF into your application in the online application program.

课程简介
The Experimental Particle Physics group explores the fundamental particles that make up matter and the fundamental forces that act on the particles. Our research efforts are comprised of two major research efforts, one in Quark Flavor Physics and a second in Neutrino Physics. The Quark Flavor Physics group (Artuso, Blusk, Mountain, Rudolph, Skwarnicki and Stone) collaborates on the LHCb experiment at CERN, and is currently focused on measurements of weak decays of charm and beauty quarks to better understand our current theory of matter, the Standard Model, but more importantly, to search for evidence of physics beyond the Standard Model. The neutrino physics group (Soderberg, Whittington) is exploring the interactions of neutrinos and what they can teach us about a wide range of scientific phenomena, from supernovae to flavor oscillations, and is collaborating on several efforts including the upcoming Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment (DUNE).
