Our aim is to constrain processes of planetary accretion and early differentiation, how those processes might have influenced the starting condition and potential habitability of our solar system's rocky planets, proto-planets and various meteorite parent bodies. Our high pressure experimental research provides insights into the structure and chemistry of metallic cores in various differentiated planetary bodies, and the process of core formation in terrestrial planets.<br><br>We are also working with orbiter and rover data on the compositions of the crust for Mars, Venus and Mercury. We try to reconcile these observations with the estimated compositions of the planetary mantles through laboratory experiments.
