In your Cal State Apply application, your statement of purpose should contain:

your goals beyond the Master's degree (what do you plan to do with the degree), and
what Physics research you would like to pursue in the department if admitted.
BS or BA
GPA > 2.5
No GRE required
TOEFL > 550 or >80 (iBT) (for international students)
Have earned a grade point average of at least 2.5 on the last degree completed by the candidate or have attained a grade point average of at least 2.5 (A=4.0) in the last 60 semester (90 quarter) units attempted.

课程简介

The Option in Applied Physics provides a master's degree program that emphasizes concepts and techniques particularly appropriate for applied physics. It is intended for students having a background in physics, engineering, or a related eld.<br>The Department also offers graduate study leading to the Master of Science degree and the Master of Science in Professional Physics. The Master of Science degree is available in a general option, an option in applied physics, and computational physics. A limited number of teaching associateships and graduate assistantships are available to students working on the master's degree. Application should be made to the Chair of the Department.
