Admission is to the dual degree program. You must meet the admission requirements of both the M.S. in business analytics and information management and M.S. in cybersecurity. The GRE is required for admission to the dual degree program. The requirements for admission to the master's and/or doctoral program in electrical and computer engineering are:
Applicants normally will have a B.S. in electrical or computer engineering. However, admission may be granted to applicants with an undergraduate degree in another engineering or related field, such as math, physics, or computer science.
GRE scores are not required but will be considered if provided.
) International applicants from countries that do not have English as the primary language
must submit TOEFL scores. The Department requires a minimum IBT TOEFL of 79, with a
minimum speaking score of 18. This is equivalent to a paper-based TOEFL score of 550
PBT and 61 PDT, with a separate evaluation for Speaking Proficiency required.
Alternatively, the minimum IELTS score is 6.5 overall with no individual Speaking subscore below 6.0. Applicants must score 100 or higher on the TOEFL or the equivalent on the IELTS to be considered as a Teaching Assistant.

This is a dual degree in cybersecurity and information systems and technology management (ISTM).<br><br>The Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics has offered the M.S. in Business Analytics and Information Management (BAIM) degree since Fall 2002. The Department of Electrical and Computing Engineering in the College of Engineering has offered the M.S. in cybersecurity since Fall 2014. The BAIM M.S. program prepares students for careers in information systems including business and software systems analysis, data mining and the management of information technology in business. The cybersecurity M.S. program prepares students for careers in secure software and systems including the design of secure software and business information systems and security analytics. The purpose of this dual degree is to leverage the synergies between these two programs.<br><br>The BAIM program emphasizes the latest theories and skills for analyzing business information systems, working with modem databases, large data sets, and computer networks, managing both large and small information systems projects, and for developing information systems solutions to business problems. The cybersecurity program emphasizes the latest theories and skills to address the most challenging cybersecurity issues facing the world today. The graduates of this program will be ideally positioned to address the interrelated challenges of well-designed and secure information systems faced by all businesses and governments in our modern world.
