URI上的Graphic Design Studio课程提供对设计创作过程以及二维和三维设计的基本元素和原理的深刻理解。首先，学生开始探索构图，渲染和制作技术，他们通过基于项目的作业使用素描和行业标准软件，以促进创造性思维和解决问题的能力。后来，在高级图形设计课程中，学生在形成对行业和专业实践方法的认识的同时，成熟了自己的设计项目。
The Graphic Design studio courses at URI provide a deep understanding of the design creative process and the fundamental elements and principles of two and three dimensional design. First, students begin exploring techniques of composition, rendering, and production, they use sketching and industry-standard software through project-based assignments that promote creative thinking and problem solving skills. Later, in the advanced Graphic Design course, students mature their own design project while they develop an awareness of the industry and professional practice methodology.<br><br>Current visual communication issues are considered through extensive research and the application of learned concepts and skills that introduce students to the graphic design practice. Throughout the URI Graphic Design experience, students gain real exposure to become fully acquainted graphic designers.
