In addition to the application materials required by the Graduate School applicants must submit a onepage personal statement and a resume Applicants should consult the PhD Program Director for specific admission requirements
Students without a masters degree in business will need to take additional courses to establish an understanding of business processes
In addition to the transcript from a masters degree the admission decision is based on an evaluation of the following criteria
GRE scores
Three letters of recommendation from former professors or work supervisors No letters from friends family or colleagues not in supervisory roles
Superior performance in graduate courses
A personal statement One page singlespaced that includes your background goals research and reasons for applying to UNCG
Resume optional but encouraged
IBT TOEFL 79 TOEFL iBT Special Home Edition score report also accepted same score and paper based - 550.
IELTS 6.5 IELTS Indicator also accepted same band score.
Duolingo English Test DET - 110.
ELS - 112 score report.
Kaplan International Higher Intermediate Level.

The Doctor of Philosophy in Information Systems program is designed to prepare students for careers as members of faculty in academic information systems units as well as careers in non-academic research and professional organizations.<br><br>This program provides training in basic and advanced information systems theory and practice so that students master the technical and conceptual tools needed for conducting high-quality information systems research. <br>Advanced, specialized training is provided in a number of information systems disciplines, such as enterprise resource planning, global information technology, information resource management, artificial intelligence, data mining, data warehousing, e-commerce, knowledge management, and supply chain management. Students acquire expertise that can be applied in a wide range of academic, government, and private sector environments.<br>Current students in this program have an average of two papers published in top journals including Journal of Computer Information Systems (JCIS), Communications of the Association for Information Systems (CAIS), Information and Management (I&M), and Journal of Information System Security (JISSec).
