The MSDS program requires 36-credit hours, consisting of specialized data science courses. This is a lock-step program, requiring students to take classes in a specific order, as concepts build on each other. The program begins in the summer, and summer courses are four to five weeks in length. Fall and spring courses are seven to eight weeks in length. Coursework for the one-year program can be completed on campus or online. The two-year program is available online only. Working professionals experience their core courses together, creating a stimulating cohort-based learning environment. During your tenure in the program, you will build relationships with peers, emanating from diverse backgrounds and industries, resulting in a larger professional network upon graduation. Complete your degree in as little as a year, or take fewer classes per semester by selecting the online, two-year option.
