3 Letters of Recommendation
Transcripts (in English) from all colleges and universities attended. All unofficial copies of transcripts and scores can be uploaded to your online application for S&T to review. Upon arrival on campus, you must request that an official copy of your transcript(s) to be sent to us directly from your previous university's registrar's office and all official scores reported directly from the respective testing agency. Once we receive the official documents, we will verify them. If there are any discrepancies between the unofficial documents you submitted, Missouri S&T will withdraw your admission and you will not be allowed to apply to S&T in the future.

Applicants who have received a degree from a United States university will also be exempt from providing English test scores. Students applying for a graduate degree program at S&T must meet one of the minimum scores:
TOEFL: 80, IELTS: 6.5
Be currently enrolled in a BS engineering program at Missouri S&T
Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
Be one year away from graduation (excluding the semester the student is currently enrolled)
Have a minimum 3.5 GPA in the engineering courses in their major

Missouri S&T's PhD degree in explosives engineering prepares students for careers in academia, consulting and industry by providing them the opportunity to conduct novel research in energetic materials (including explosives) and related areas. You will be mentored by leading experts in explosives engineering and work with unique research facilities.<br>The Ph.D.degree requires a minimum of three years of full-time study beyond the bachelor's degree, including research work for the dissertation. Ph.D. candidates must complete course requirements and novel research in explosives-related topics.<br>Ph.D. candidates must complete at least 15 credit hours of coursework at Missouri S&T and are required to pass the qualifying, comprehensive and final oral examinations of the Ph.D. program. Doctoral students in explosives engineering must consult the graduate degree requirements in explosives engineering, Missouri S&T's graduate catalog and their respective advisors to develop a program of study.
